It would have been interesting to hear whether Dr. Prior is using hormone therapy presently or if she did, for how long? The discussion got to the point about menopause being a natural phase where we evolved to not need the hormones, but the discussion wasn´t clear if HT should not be a strategy used to support women´s health in postmenopause. It would be as interesting to know like Lara Briden, a disciple of Dr. Prior, shared she is using hormone therapy after menopause.

I agree! Dr Prior had a terrible perimenopause and she used progesterone. She also tried estrogen, which she alluded to in this podcast because it didn’t go very well.

We didn’t really cover her perimenopause or personal experience episode this time around because that’s a big part of what we covered when she was on the podcast the first time - way back in episode 12! It’s a good listen.

Ovulation is a sign of health during the menstrual cycling years. However, we get periods of breaks in ovulation during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

And those are healthy too! (Although not for everyone and not without complications)

Once again your podcast did not disappoint. There is so much in here to digest.

Having done a lot of research digging myself, there were still a few "huh" moments which is great for my ever learning brain.

I love that you brought up the importance of ovulation.

Great episode and I love the work this amazing woman is doing at 81, no less!

Looking forward to going into the podcast archives to get caught up on all that you are doing!

I have a feeling we are singing the same song and maybe a collab is in our future. ✨️
