So interesting- never made the connection between newer fears and menopause before. Definitely more anxiety too, which I didn’t realize was a symptom either. Thanks for the info!
The only way I knew about Courteney Cox comments on menopause was because I knew about her depression connection. She was one of the first to bring up her struggles....
You are such an angel! I can never express how it felt to have you as my first founding member. Biggest thanks of all. Working on all that content now :)
I can relate. All that to say, I’ve been told I should try an anti depressant. Not sure, but I’m glad to know this too is a thing and that I’m not alone.
Hi there!! Nice to see you here. How do you feel about the anti-depressant thing? You know I've been reading The Upgrade by Louann Brizendine, and there are a good few pages in there about it. She mentions that we don't have a lot of research about anti-depressants and menopause. But then she also talks about the way she approaches it: microdosing! For example she says that the average doses for Prozac (her preferred) are bw 20 and 80mg for clinical depression. But then she says that's often way too high for women in the transition (she won't call it perimenopause/menopause :) She uses a liquid form and starts her patients on doses as low as 2-5 milligrams. And whatever drug she's using, she starts with this kind of a tiny dose. I think this is fascinating and I hope to speak to her about it soon.
My mother is a retired RN, she’s the one who suggested it. I’m not sure my thoughts on it. It just so happens, the book the Upgrade is on my to read list. Thank you for the tip.😉

I am realizing these things all over the place! Thanks for stopping by.

I did not know this! Stars are just like us...
Congratulations on the move! I will follow you wherever you go ;-)
Thank you so much Kim! I think this is it for awhile :)
Congratulations on the move! Love being part of the change and receiving more of your goodness!

I love this concept, and change is always scary but sometimes good, so I’m glad to be a witness. Keep up the good work and the happy tone!
Thanks Val - yes it was painful but I'm really happy with it. And happy to have a place we can talk :)
