So she is very much in the Ray Peat/anti-estrogen/Kate Deering/bioenergetic/pro-metabolic progesterone school of thought on this. I’m going to be exploring this more because that group has a lot of good points and people do very well on their protocols. But it’s obviously so opposite to the mainstream way of looking at things that it’s quite jarring. One thing is that I could never reject estrogen as they do because I’ve seen it turn so many people around and so dramatically.

Kitty has worked with so many women, and done lots of research, and works with Kate Deering a lot, a person I interviewed once before (for a summit) who is very solid… so that’s what she’s basing this all on.

One thing I can’t square is that they are into eating sugar and dairy (I think arguing that digestion is one of the core issues and once you deal with that and ease foods back in, the body can handle it) but even tho my gut is much better most sugar just makes my body ache.

Oh! She’s 44 and doesn’t have any perimenopause symptoms. So time will tell! (I do think to myself about younger people that the jury is still out… and I actually joked with Kitty that she’s going to struggle with the this position if she ends up struggling with peri… it’s a long road as we know…) I just find this all fascinating, how far apart the schools of thought are! Anyway so much for your comment - I I love when I know people are gonna tell it to me straight!!

I’m sorry, I need to ask - is she even perimenopausal? The way she threw away blood tests from doctors. Also saying your body doesn’t lose estrogen???? Bloods don’t lie as long as they are taken at the right time, etc. Has she ever heard of the DUTCH test? I actually just stopped listening and I’m 20 minutes in. She just didnt make sense to me. I am 5 years into my menopause journey & tried so many things. Love your work Ann Marie, this interview just did not resonate with me 😔
