It's funny because I'm the opposite of the woman mentioned at the end, my perimenopause/menopause was completely uneventful (except for some mood swings) and I felt very superior haha! BUT my HCP told me I was "abnormal" because I went into menopause at 59 and I was really upset with her. The next time we spoke I told her that I didn't find appreciate it and perhaps she might have said "unusual or atypical" but I guess maybe medically it was abnormal because she didn't apologize. I was put on HRT because of the narrative (bone health, cognitive health, etc) but my body disagreed quite emphatically and I was taken off estradiol and later went off progesterone on my own. I seem to be doing fine without them and I'm unfollowing a lot of the "gurus" that make me question myself. Thanks again for a fantastic interview!
