There was a great conversation about menopause on The View recently featuring Broadway star Audra McDonald.
The 52-year-old, six-time Tony winner – who also has a six-year-old daughter – said when she opened up about about her experiences in an Instagram post in October, "I was having a rough day with all the symptoms, realizing we don't talk enough about it".
In addition to a “rage rollercoaster”, McDonald said she had night sweats and hot flashes, even “on stage”.
In her post, McDonald wrote: "Just wanted to send a shout out to all women dealing with the frustration, sadness, embarrassment, grief anger, confusion and shame that accompanies perimenopause and menopause.
