Hot take: If this is the #menopauserevolution, I don't want it

In a lot of ways, it’s an angry mess.

And I can’t believe it, because six months ago things looked so rosy, didn’t they?

I’m talking particularly about the UK, which is in the middle of a nasty, dumb, confusing and counter-productive back-and-forth social media/media conversation that I want to stop paying attention to it altogether.

But I can’t, because what’s happening there is emblematic of what’s going on generally, and it’s an example of what happens when the pendulum swings too far in correcting things.
